The goal of the Afghanistan household health survey 2024 is to provide national level and provincial level population estimates of various outcome and impact level health indicators based upon the performance of the health system in both rural and urban areas of the 34 Afghan provinces.           

• Attending and active participation in training on data collection procedures and measures and maintains reliability
• Participation in pre-training and post-training assessments; passing of post-training assessment threshold is mandatory
• Collecting data of selected HH in selected clusters in accordance with established protocols
  • Locating the compounds that have been selected for household surveys,
  • Ensuring consent forms are completed for every person interviewed
  • Completing the Household Questionnaire for the selected household living in that compound
  • Identify all eligible women in the selected household,
  • Interview all eligible women and primary caregivers for children under 5 years of age in the selected household using the Female and Child Health Questionnaire,
  • Check completed interviews to be sure that all questions have been asked and the responses have been neatly and legibly recorded,
  • Identify the children and women deaths within the surveyed household alerting the supervisor that these households should be noted for the subsequent verbal autopsy interviews and
  • Carries out other data collection activities as assigned by the field managers/ office.
• Review all collected data on a daily base (on the spot) to identify mistakes or missing information and go back to the household for correction/clarification as needed to ensure the high quality of data collected.
• Communicating regularly with the Field Managers to update them on the status of the field work and all field-related problems on a regular basis.
• Submitting all completed data collection forms (or scanned copies) tablets/smartphones to office after final check if any.
• Keeping the instruments safe and maintaining confidentiality of the data.
• Maintaining supplies of material needed for data collection and communicating needs for additional supplies to Field Managers in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate integrity with the values and ethical standards of Particip GmbH, and Ministry of Public Health
• Promotes the vision, mission and strategic goals of Particip GmbH.
• Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.
• Treats all people fairly without favouritism.

• University or 14^th grade certificate in health, or social sciences.
• Experience in past AHS survey is an asset                                                                   
• At least one year of working experience in other surveys like AHS, DHS, MICS, SMART, LQAS, HMIS verification and BSC & Covid-19 surveys
• Couples who are Mahram, based on Islamic Sharia law, are must
• Resident of the province is preferred
• Familiarity with electronic data collection is an asset
• Excellent written and spoken Dari and Pashto
• Having good communication skills
• Ability to travel across the province to visit the households in the province is a must

After Evaluation/post-test the best qualified candidates will be selected for higher positions (supervisor and monitors).
