Job Description:

These positions will work closely with women-run businesses and would be the primary link between the firm and the envisaged Project. He/she will diagnose the constraints on business growth and develop a clear action plan to address these constraints. He/she will monitor the firms’ progress against clear benchmarks and help the business executives to determine if the businesses are succeeding or failing. Additionally, these positions will work to support firms in their efforts and provide a conduit for the provision of specialist expertise as required.

These experts will provide advice, guidance, and strategic direction to women own or women lead businesses or individuals seeking to improve their business. Their role can vary depending on the specific needs of their clients, but typically involves:

Company Assessment: Conducting a thorough analysis of the client's current business strategies, goals, target audience, and competitive landscape.

Strategy Development: Developing tailored marketing strategies and plans to help the client achieve their objectives, whether it's increasing brand awareness, driving sales, or improving customer engagement.

Recommendations: Providing recommendations on marketing tactics, channels, and technologies that align with the client's goals and budget.

Implementation Support: Assisting with the execution of marketing initiatives, which may include creating marketing materials, optimizing digital campaigns, or advising on content creation.

Measurement and Analysis: Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business efforts and analysing data to track progress and make adjustments as needed.

Training and Education: Educating the client's team on skills for home-based and remote employment through training sessions to explain these models and coach women on setting up these types of work arrangements, as well as providing ongoing support and guidance.

Mentorship Programs: Providing ongoing support and guidance to women participating in the initiative by establishing mentorship relationships.

Advocacy and Awareness: Raising awareness among Afghan women about the opportunities of remote work arrangements and best practices in seeking and maintaining such employment.

 

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business discipline or related field.

Minimum of three years experiences implementing donor projects, preferably with women-run firms or within the social entrepreneurship development field.

Previous experience working with MSME’s in an advisory, support or mentorship role.

Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn more about gender and youth inclusion best practices.
