Translate from (written) English & Dari into Pashto and vice versa original texts, documents, etc., and ensure that translations retain the content, meaning, and feeling of the original material

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support AYNAAK’S program and operations teams with translations and interpretation of documents from English & Dari to Pashto and vice versa.
• Create, edit, proofread, and finalize translated documents.
• Interpret during meetings, conferences and trainings.
• Maintain soft copies of translated documents in database
• Assist in developing, writing, and translating project success stories and training materials.
• Work closely with the communications team to review documents before publication and release to external audiences.
• Technical translation for all materials from English & Dari to Pashto and vice versa.
• Assist in the translation of documents from English & Dari to Pashto vice versa, as needed.
• To translate various reports and its components from English & Dari to Pashto, and vice versa;
• When required, to act as ad hoc interpreter in meetings, conferences and in writing, according to needs;
• Any other task assigned by the Project Manager

• Bachelor’s Degree in language studies, literature, communications or any other relevant degree required;
• 4 years’ relevant experience required.
• 2 – 4 years translation experience is must
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in Pashto and English languages.
• Excellent team working abilities with an innate diplomacy.
• Must be able to carry out deadline-driven tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must have computer literacy and work experience in software applications (MS Office).
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Pashto required
