Job Description:

  • Oversee the internal financial management processes, ensuring compliance with organizational and donor policies, procedures, and financial regulations.
  • Manage and provide liquidity for both the main office and provincial offices, optimizing cash flow and financial resources to meet operational needs.
  • Disburse and process payroll accurately and on time for all staff members, including main office and provincial office staff.
  • Maintain payroll records, including salary adjustments, deductions, and benefits, and reconcile payroll accounts with financial statements.
  • Manage all bank transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and reconciliations, for both main office and provincial office accounts.
  • Monitor bank balances and cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs and investment opportunities.
  • Process all payments, including invoices, expenses, and reimbursements, accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
  • Verify the accuracy of payment requests, review supporting documentation, and obtain necessary approvals before processing payments.
  • Coordinate cash clearance activities with relevant departments and provincial offices, ensuring timely reconciliation of cash transactions and accurate recording of financial data.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between finance and other departments to address any discrepancies or issues related to cash clearance
 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is desirable.
  • Proven 5 years of experience in financial management, accounting, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, regulations, and compliance of donors and UN agencies.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Quickbook

Commitment and Dedication:

  • Knowledge, understanding and commitment to organizational policies
  • Willingness to travel to provinces when planed by the management
  • Willingness to work outside official hours

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in both national language (Dari & Pashto) oral and written
  • Fluency in English is a must both oral and written
