Job Description:

Job Summary

Under the overall supervision and guidance of the Assistant Supply Chain Officer the Cook and Cleaner undertake the following duties:

Duties & Responsibilities

Meals Service & Cooking Duties:

  • Prepares and cooks menu items in proper quantities according to the planned and scheduled menu, and staff’s choices.
  • Using proper tasting technique to ensure quality taste and meet standard quality.
  • Leaves work station clean and re-stocked.
  • Accurately records portion amount of food used during meals on service records.
  • Be responsible & accountable to provide/purchase good quality food items from Market and keep accurate routine expense record;
  • Provide timely Meals and Tea services to staff, guests and visitors;
  • Accurately measures food temperatures.
  • Accurately fills out sanitation and temperature logs and food service records as required.
  • Communicates effectively and works cooperatively and respectfully with a diverse set of staff, management team and guests.
  • Provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the specified areas.

Cleaning Duties:

  • To provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Office Compound;
  • Vacuum carpets, tidy and dust Staff Rooms and other specified office areas and tables.
  • Provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the specified areas of the office building;
  • To clean the office premises and outside the yard.
  • Any other duties as assign by line supervisor.
 

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • High School graduated or Basic Education at least

Work Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years’ proven related experience in National or Intentional NGOs- and or an Official Environment

Languages & Skills:

  • Fluency in local language is desirable    
  • Be educated and Prior experience in a National or International NGO is preferred
  • Strong work ethics and integrity
  •  Ability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision
