On 19–20 October 2026, ACBAR’s North Regional Office conducted a field mission to Sar-e-Pul and Jawzjan provinces to strengthen coordination with member NGOs and provincial authorities, address operational challenges, and support an enabling environment for humanitarian and development activities.

During the mission, the team met with the governors of both provinces to discuss ACBAR’s role in facilitating NGO coordination and advocacy, as well as the contributions of NGOs in responding to community needs.

Discussions highlighted key operational challenges facing NGOs. The provincial governors expressed their commitment to encouraging relevant departments and local authorities to strengthen cooperation with NGOs and facilitate a safe and enabling environment for the delivery of humanitarian and development assistance.

Through its provincial engagement, ACBAR continues to support coordination between NGOs and relevant authorities to help address operational challenges and facilitate effective assistance to communities in need.
