HSSE Officer Job Responsibilities and Duties

1. Plan and lead at the beginning of the project and monthly safety briefing to guarantee all employees fully understand the safety procedures they are required to follow.
2. Making regular site inspections
3. Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely
4. Create safety systems for all employees to follow when operating manufacturing machinery in order to prevent any injuries.
5. Maintain and enforce all safety and health policies, including those you create, already existing procedures, and policies enforced by the UN System
6. Oversee operations on a daily basis to ensure all manufacturing employees follow safety procedures precisely
7. Determining ways of reducing risks
8. Organizing/attending health and safety meetings
9. Making recommendations following accidents/incidents
10. Providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers
11. Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health
12. Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies
13. Writing reports
14. Any other job specified in donor TOR.

Bachelor's degree in Environmental / Social Science with 5 Years of Progressively Experience in Similar Field.

The applicant should have a good knowledge of Computer Programs.

The applicant should have a good knowledge of English, Dari and Pashto.

Experience with the International Community (Working with United Nations is Preferrable).
