Job Summary

Afghan German Bakhtar Railway Road Building Constriction company is seeking a qualified and experienced  Quality Control Officer (QA/QC Officer)

The position is for the full duration of the road construction project, including construction, testing, inspection, and defect liability support stages.The Quality Control Officer will report directly to the Project Manager and coordinate closely with the Road Engineer, Structural Engineer, Laboratory Team, and Consultant Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality compliance of all road construction activities in accordance with approved specifications, drawings, and standards.
  • Conduct and supervise field and laboratory tests for soil, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and other construction materials.
  • Monitor compaction, density, moisture content, pavement layer thickness, and other quality control parameters.
  • Inspect ongoing construction works to verify compliance with QA/QC requirements and approved methodologies.
  • Identify non-conforming works and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with engineers, laboratory technicians, and contractors to maintain quality standards throughout the project.
  • Maintain quality records, test reports, inspection checklists, and calibration records of testing equipment.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports for submission to project management and consultant.
  • Ensure implementation of approved quality assurance procedures and testing plans.
  • Assist in material approval processes and review supplier quality documentation.

Conditions of Employment

  • Full-time site-based position throughout the project duration
  • Required to work in both field and laboratory environments
  • Must ensure impartiality, accuracy, and integrity in all testing and reporting activities
  • Compliance with project specifications, safety procedures, and quality standards is mandatory
  • Responsible for maintaining proper documentation and traceability of quality records
  • Subject to periodic performance evaluation by the Project Manager/Consultant
  • Employment may be terminated in case of negligence, inaccurate reporting, or misconduct

Job Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc. in Civil Engineering

  • Familiarity with international and national construction specifications and standards

  • Ability to prepare quality reports and implement corrective actions

  • The candidate should be speak And write Pashto, Dari fluent  and English
