IT Officer (Call for CVs)

Vision Development Organization (VDO), founded in 2015 by Afghan women leaders, is a national, women-led NGO dedicated to advancing the dignity, resilience, and leadership of women, youth, and marginalized communities. Despite Afghanistan’s complex humanitarian and governance challenges, VDO has grown into a trusted, principled, and adaptive organization, delivering programs in protection, education, livelihoods, social inclusion, and community development across multiple provinces. Anchored in integrity, accountability, and operational excellence, VDO upholds strong governance, safeguarding, and compliance standards while championing women’s leadership and equitable, high-quality service delivery.

• Support operation and maintenance of organizational IT systems including computers, networks, printers, internet systems, software applications, communication tools, and digital platforms.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software systems across offices and field locations.
• Monitor system performance, internet connectivity, antivirus systems, backups, and user access controls.
• Provide technical support to staff regarding email systems, MS Office, digital platforms, and IT-related issues.
• Support management of IT inventory, equipment tracking, software updates, and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with MIS and data protection teams to ensure secure information management practices.
• Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures, user account management, and data backup procedures.
• Maintain IT support logs, troubleshooting records, and technical documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of IT support or systems administration experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills.
• Familiarity with networking, Windows systems, hardware maintenance, and office IT systems.
• English excellent, Dari and Pashtu fluent.
