Call for Capacity Assessment of National NGOs/CSOs in the Provision of Environmental Trainings

The PACS project funded by SIDA in partnership of Solidarity Committee and implemented by EPTDO organization aims to strengthen Civil Society across Afghanistan by conducting a comprehensive capacity assessment of NGOs and CSOs based in Kabul and Nangarhar provinces. Through this initiative, the project will review organizational structures, existing climate commitments, and operational needs to guide targeted capacity-building efforts. The NGOS/CSOs feedback will also directly inform the development of specialized training tracks focused on environmental sustainability and climate change resilience.
The assessment will draw on organizations mapped at two provinces (Kabul and Nangarhar) with (over 200 NGOs/CSOs, including 130 in Kabul and 70 in Nangarhar), with a clear inclusion focus on prioritizing at least 30% women-led organizations. Organizations established or registered between 2015 and 2025—particularly new and emerging NGOs with valid office presence in Kabul and Nangarhar provinces along with the valid registration certificates will be considered, and from the mapped 200 NGOs/CSOs, 45 highly qualified will be shortlisted for specialized capacity-building training programs.
Interested organizations are invited to complete the capacity assessment survey attached to this call, ensure the submission includes required attachments such as registration/licensing documents, board and staff lists, management and HR policies, finance and procurement policies, and environmental policies.
