Job Summary

Job Purpose
The Dairy & Vegetable/Food Processing Trainer will provide practical training and technical support to beneficiaries on dairy, vegetable, and food processing, preservation, food safety, nutrition, and basic value addition to improve household nutrition and livelihood opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

prepare curriculam for the specific training
Conduct practical training on dairy and food processing techniques.
Train beneficiaries on yogurt, butter, cheese, ghee, and other locally appropriate dairy products.
Provide training on vegetable/fruit drying, pickles, tomato paste, jam, and other food-processing techniques.
Promote proper food hygiene, safety, preservation, packaging, and storage.
Support beneficiaries in using locally available and nutritious food products.

Provide basic guidance on product costing, packaging, pricing, and marketing.
Prepare training plans and required materials.
Maintain beneficiary attendance and training records.
Conduct practical assessments and follow up on beneficiaries’ progress.

proficiancy in English Language
Submit regular activity reports to the Project Manager/Team Leader.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience
12th Graduate, Bachelor's Degree is preferred or relevant vocational certification in Food security, Agriculture, Home Economics, Nutrition, or a related field.
Relevant experience in dairy, vegetable, or food processing.
Proficiency in English, with strong verbal communication, written communication, and report-writing skills
Good practical training and communication skills.
Knowledge of local food products, food safety, and preservation techniques.
Ability to work effectively with community beneficiaries.
