Job Summary

The facilitator supports smooth, safe and inclusive delivery of the assigned training cohort under the operational supervision of the regional coordination team and technical direction of the resident value-chain expert. The position is primarily a facilitation, participant-support and training-documentation role.

·       Assist with participant outreach, confirmation, registration, attendance follow-up and coordination of access or travel needs, working from lists approved through the project process.

·       Prepare training registration materials, approved agendas, Dari/Pashto job aids, group-work supplies and demonstration-station arrangements with the technical trainer and logistics team.

·       Support participatory learning, small-group exercises, peer coaching, practical station rotations, Train-Back sessions and low-literacy teaching methods as directed by the value-chain expert.

·       Promote safe, respectful and inclusive participation, including culturally appropriate arrangements for women, and coordinate with assigned female facilitators/interpreters where applicable.

·       Maintain accurate daily morning/afternoon attendance registers, with participant details and signatures or thumbprints, and promptly report absenteeism or participation barriers.

·       Collect and securely maintain informed-consent documentation and a photo register; ensure photographs are taken only with documented consent and stored separately from assessment data.

·       Provide administrative assistance during pre-tests, post-tests, practical demonstrations, feedback collection and site-exposure activities while designated experts retain assessment responsibility.

·       Help implement site-visit briefings and approved fallback practical activities, in accordance with security, safety, hygiene and safeguarding requirements.

·       Ensure timely transfer of facilitator-owned documentation to the regional coordinator/M&E team; assist in compiling complete cohort evidence and provide a short end-of-cohort handover note.

·       Follow the Code of Conduct, PSEA, confidentiality and data-protection protocols, and immediately refer safeguarding concerns through approved confidential reporting channels.
