Background:
The Afghan Youth Action (AYA) Network is a youth-led national network connecting more than 20,000 young women and men across Afghanistan, together with over 20 member organizations.
AYA works through four strategic areas:
* Climate action;
* Digital skills and technology;
* Youth innovation; and
* Meaningful youth engagement and participation.
AYA invites eligible institutions and organizations based in Afghanistan—or working to support Afghan youth—to submit an Expression of Interest to become institutional members of the Network.
Who Can Express Interest?
The call is open to:
* National and international NGOs;
* Youth-led and women-led organizations;
* Civil-society and community-based organizations;
* Universities, schools and training institutions;
* Professional associations and youth networks;
* Research, technology and innovation institutions;
* Social enterprises; and
* Responsible private-sector organizations supporting youth development.
Areas of Collaboration
Member organizations may explore opportunities to:
* Co-design and jointly implement programmes and community initiatives;
* Conduct joint advocacy around the priorities of Afghan youth;
* Develop joint proposals and mobilize resources for youth-led action;
* Form partnerships and consortia for relevant funding opportunities;
* Share training, scholarships, internships, employment and other opportunities;
* Participate in youth consultations, assessments, research and innovation initiatives;
* Connect relevant opportunities with young people according to their interests and capabilities;
* Exchange knowledge, technical expertise, tools and learning resources; and
* Amplify the voices, experiences and contributions of Afghan youth.
Basic Membership Expectations
Interested organizations should:
* Demonstrate alignment with AYA’s mission, values and strategic areas;
* Support safe, inclusive and meaningful youth participation;
* Respect safeguarding, confidentiality and responsible information-sharing principles;
* Appoint an organizational focal point for communication with AYA;
* Participate actively in relevant Network activities; and
* Provide accurate information through the Expression of Interest form.

No supporting documents are required during the initial Expression of Interest stage. The AYA team will review each submission and contact eligible organizations to discuss potential areas of collaboration, membership responsibilities and the next steps.
Submission of an Expression of Interest does not automatically confirm membership or guarantee access to funding. Membership will be confirmed following AYA’s review and communication with the applicant organization.
