AfghaniPay: Simple, Swift, Secure

AfghaniPay will be the preferred way for banked and unbanked Afghans to make payments across the country. Our mobile money platform will utilize the latest digital payment technology to provide financial services to millions of Afghans who have mobile phones, but do not have bank accounts or have only limited access to banking. AfghaniPay will be the safest, most reliable, and most affordable way for Afghans nationwide to send and receive money, receive salaries, make bill payments, top-up airtime and much more.

• Build new mobile money challenger from the ground up in competitive marketplace of Afghanistan against established players.
• Lead all AfghaniPay employees in the drive to become Afghanistan’s mobile money market leader.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate business strategies and plans to meet Company’s long-term and short-term goals.
• Foster a growth-oriented, positive working culture and environment, while keeping employees and Company leadership accountable and overseeing all policies and procedures.
• Serve as the most senior Company representative in all business, regulatory, compliance and industry matters.
• Manage AfghaniPay’s day-to-day operations and drive strong business performance in collaboration with Company leadership.
• Achieve strong business results (healthy EBITDA, strong revenue and user growth, increased profitability etc.)
• Overall management of all employees to encourage maximum performance and productivity at all levels to achieve Company goals.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with clients, vendors, merchants, banks, regulators, legislators, and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain oversight of budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation to effectively manage costs.

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university.
• Major in Business Administration, Sales, Commerce, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
• Oral and written fluency in Dari or Pashto and English.
• Higher education (e.g. MBA) is considered a plus.
• Technical and financial certifications are considered a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in an executive management role at a financial service provider, FinTech company or related institution.
• Knowledge of digital payments sector is preferred.
• Sound understanding of core business functions including Technical, Operations, HR, Finance, Commercial, Planning, Business Development.
• Outstanding decision-making, organizational, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Proven track record of achieving business results and performance in a challenging environment.
