AfghaniPay: Simple, Swift, Secure

AfghaniPay will be the preferred way for banked and unbanked Afghans to make payments across the country. Our mobile money platform will utilize the latest digital payment technology to provide financial services to millions of Afghans who have mobile phones, but do not have bank accounts or have only limited access to banking. AfghaniPay will be the safest, most reliable, and most affordable way for Afghans nationwide to send and receive money, receive salaries, make bill payments, top-up airtime and much more.

Oversees commercial strategy including sales and distribution, marketing, customer care, business development, and product and service solutions.

• Develop, implement, and monitor AfghaniPay’s commercial plans to drive inorganic / organic growth.
• Develop creative products and innovative services to gain market share from established competitors.
• Build new sales, marketing, and customer care channels from the ground up that differentiate Company from the competition.
• Establish strong partnerships with international and local organizations to drive business development.
• Lead Company commercial department, including work allocation, training, and performance evaluation for all commercial team members.
• Manage AfghaniPay’s day-to-day commercial operations and monitor commercial performance.
• Achieve strong commercial results (increased sales, user growth, improved merchant acquisitions etc.)
• Manage agents and merchant relationships to build, maintain and grow distribution network.
• Develop and steward Company brand across all internal and external communication channels.
• Manage all commercial administration, including sales/marketing/customer care reports, competitive intelligence, merchant/agent visits, policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university.
• Major in Sales, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in digital payment or related FinTech systems is preferred.
• Oral and written fluency in Dari or Pashto and English.
• Higher education (e.g. MBA) is considered a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior commercial management role at a financial service provider, FinTech company or related institution.
• Knowledge of digital payments sector is preferred.
• Experience in commercial project management, data analysis, branding, and digitalization.
• Outstanding creative, interpersonal and team leadership skills.
• Proven track record of delivering strong commercial results in a challenging environment.
