Job Summary

JOB PURPOSE:

The Architecture Engineer will be responsible for developing architectural designs, preparing technical drawings, and supporting the successful planning and design of construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders to produce practical, functional, and cost-effective architectural solutions that meet project requirements and comply with applicable building standards. The position requires a motivated professional with strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES:

  • Prepare architectural concepts, detailed designs, and construction drawings in accordance with project requirements and applicable standardsږ
  • Develop architectural plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software.
  • Coordinate architectural designs with Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers to ensure proper integration of all engineering disciplines.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare material specifications and assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) when required.
  • Participate in design review meetings and provide technical recommendations to improve project quality, functionality, and efficiency.
  • Conduct site visits, when required, to verify design implementation and provide technical support for architectural-related issues.
  • Ensure that all architectural designs comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and organizational standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation throughout the design process.
  • Perform any other architecture-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

 

 

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from a recognized university is required.
  • A Master's Degree in Architecture or a related field will be considered an advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, preparation of construction drawings, and building projects.
  • Experience in coordinating architectural works with multidisciplinary engineering teams will be considered an asset.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate should have practical knowledge of:

  • AutoCAD
  • Autodesk Revit
  • SketchUp
  • Lumion
  • Autodesk 3ds Max
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preparation and review of architectural drawings
  • Building materials and construction methods
  • Building codes and architectural standards
  • Preparation of technical reports and project documentation
