Job Summary

OFRD is looking for qualified MCPA Project Assistants (4 Persons) to be based in Kandahar with Kabul travel if needed. Following are the details of job description:

1. MCPA Project Assistants – Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the Project Manager/ in the day-to-day implementation of the MCPA cash assistance project in Kandahar.
  • Coordinate with program team, local authorities, community representatives, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate smooth project implementation.
  • Support community mobilization, beneficiary identification, and selection in accordance with donor approved targeting and vulnerability criteria.
  • Assist in beneficiary verification, household validation, documentation, and resolution of data discrepancies before cash distribution.
  • Coordinate with field teams and the Financial Service Provider (FSP) to facilitate safe, orderly, and timely cash distribution to targeted households.
  • Ensure beneficiaries receive clear information on distribution schedules, locations, procedures, and their rights.
  • Support field-level resolution of operational issues arising during beneficiary verification and cash distribution.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including beneficiary documentation, coordination records, distribution support documents, and activity evidence.
  • Support Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), beneficiary feedback collection, and identification of complaints, protection concerns, or implementation challenges.
  • Prepare regular activity updates and contribute to project narrative and financial reporting.
  • Ensure project activities comply with OFRD policies, donor requirements, humanitarian principles, safeguarding, accountability, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support the collection of required documentation and official verification from relevant local authorities for project completion.

Job Requirements

-        1 to 3 years of experience in community mobilization, project support and M/E;

-        Experience in community work and social work;

-        Sound judgment and understanding of OFRD values and/or a demonstrable understanding of public services;

-        Excellent written and spoken Pashto and or Dari with basic knowledge of English;

-        Dynamism, proactivity and personal resilience, and demonstrable ability to adapt to changing and uncertain circumstances;
