The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Assistant is a full-time position that is responsible to support the Deputy Program Manager -HAF in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, documentation, and quality assurance for the Healthy Afghan Family (HAF) Program and related Safe Space (SS) activities under PARSA.
The position supports data collection, verification, analysis, reporting, field monitoring, case management tracking, database management, Kobo surveys, beneficiary assessments, post-implementation monitoring, and documentation of success stories, case studies, and lessons learned.
The MEAL Assistant works closely with case workers, facilitators, interns, volunteers, and project staff to ensure program information is accurate, timely, complete, confidential, and properly documented.
The position also supports monitoring of beneficiary participation and progress, economic empowerment activities, staff capacity-building activities, and follow-up actions arising from monitoring findings as well as provides timely information to the Deputy Program Manager to support program learning, quality improvement, and informed decision-making.

· Supporting the collection, organization, and verification of information related to HAF activities, beneficiary participation, family reintegration, and program outcomes.
· Assisting with routine monitoring of HAF activities using approved MEAL tools, indicators, checklists, and procedures.
· Supporting field monitoring visits and document observations, findings, challenges, good practices, and follow-up actions.
· Collect, organize and file the success stories, keep a basic summary/database of the stories for Parsa management and donor reporting.
· Following up with relevant program staff to obtain missing or incomplete monitoring information and supporting documentation.
· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date monitoring records and prepare routine summaries and tracking updates for review by the Deputy Program Manager.
· Supporting the identification of implementation gaps, data gaps, and areas requiring follow-up or improvement.
· Providing timely monitoring information and updates to the Deputy Program Manager to support program quality, planning, and decision-making.
· Supporting data collection, entry, cleaning, verification, and basic analysis using approved MEAL tools and systems.
· Supporting the administration of Kobo surveys, beneficiary assessments, post-implementation monitoring, and other approved data collection activities.
· Conducting routine data quality checks and follow up with relevant staff to address missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.
· Maintaining secure and up-to-date program databases, monitoring files, tracking tools, and electronic records.
· Maintaining and update approved case management databases and tracking tools in coordination with case workers and the Senior Case Worker, with a focus on accurate and complete program data.
· Supporting the tracking of case assignments, referrals, follow-up actions, beneficiary progress, and case closure status for monitoring and reporting purposes.
· Maintaining the confidentiality and security of beneficiary information and ensure that records are handled in accordance with approved systems, policies, and procedures.
· Supporting the compilation of monitoring data and documentation required for internal, program, and donor reports.
· Preparing routine data summaries, indicator tracking sheets, tables, charts, and monitoring updates as requested.
· Supporting the organization and documentation of lessons learned, good practices, success stories, case studies, and evidence of program results.
· Organizing and maintain monitoring evidence, including attendance records, photographs, reports, assessment forms, monitoring tools, and other supporting documentation.
· Supporting the identification of trends, challenges, good practices, and lessons emerging from program data and communicate relevant findings to the Deputy Program Manager.
· Maintaining accurate records of beneficiary participation in economic empowerment, enterprise, livelihood, and other program activities.
· Supporting the collection and verification of information on beneficiary participation, progress, and outcomes.
· Assisting in monitoring economic empowerment and livelihood activities and identify data or implementation gaps requiring follow-up.
· Supporting the tracking of beneficiary progress following enterprise training, livelihood support, or other approved interventions.
· Supporting the documentation of beneficiary achievements, success stories, lessons learned, and program results.
· Providing relevant monitoring data and supporting documentation required for program reporting, reviews, and assessments.
· Reporting identified implementation, monitoring, data quality, or documentation gaps to the Deputy Program Manager/Project Manager.
· Supporting the MEAL related filing, and secure storage of program monitoring documents and ensure that records are accessible to authorized staff.
· Supporting the collection, organization, and uploading of project photographs, attendance sheets, monitoring tools, reports, assessment forms, and other supporting evidence.
· Participating in field visits and provide monitoring, data collection, verification, and documentation support as required.
· Supporting the implementation of beneficiary feedback and other approved MEAL activities, including documenting feedback and referring issues to the appropriate staff for follow-up.
