Job Summary

  • Lead donor financial compliance and external financial reporting processes for grants and contracts funded by institutional donors, UN agencies, and humanitarian partners.
  • Prepare donor budgets, financial reports, budget modifications, expenditure forecasts, burn-rate analysis, and donor reconciliations.
  • Ensure all project expenditures comply with donor agreements, approved budgets, procurement standards, and supporting documentation requirements.
  • Review financial transactions, allocations, cost eligibility, and donor coding structures.
  • Coordinate donor audits, spot checks, compliance reviews, and financial verification exercises. 
  • Support proposal budget development and donor negotiations.
  • Provide technical guidance to program and finance teams on donor compliance, allowable costs, financial risk management, and grant regulations. 
  • Monitor exchange rate impacts, budget variances, and funding utilization trends. 
  • Maintain organized grant financial files and ensure timely donor reporting.
  • Support corrective action plans and compliance improvement measures following audits or reviews.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of donor finance and grants management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of donor regulations including UN, EU, USAID, WFP, UNICEF, OCHA, or INGO financial requirements.
  • Excellent budgeting, reconciliation, and financial analysis skills; strong report writing and compliance management abilities.
  • English excellent, Dari and Pashtu fluent
