Job Summary

  • Lead and support integration of gender equality, disability inclusion, diversity, protection mainstreaming, and inclusion principles across all VDO programs and operations.
  • Conduct gender and inclusion assessments, risk analysis, and program reviews to identify barriers and opportunities for vulnerable and marginalized groups.
  • Support development of gender-sensitive and inclusive project designs, indicators, targeting criteria, community engagement approaches, and accountability systems.
  • Conduct staff awareness sessions, training workshops, and capacity-building activities on gender equality, inclusion, safeguarding, disability inclusion, and protection mainstreaming.
  • Coordinate with program teams, safeguarding units, MEAL departments, and field offices to ensure inclusion considerations are integrated into implementation, monitoring, reporting, and learning processes.
  • Support development of gender action plans, inclusion strategies, and donor reporting requirements related to gender and diversity.
  • Monitor participation and access of women, girls, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable groups across programs.
  • Prepare gender and inclusion analysis reports, recommendations, and lessons learned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Human Rights, Development Studies, Sociology, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in gender, inclusion, safeguarding, or protection mainstreaming.
  • Strong understanding of gender-sensitive programming, disability inclusion, and humanitarian principles.
  • Strong facilitation, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • English excellent, Dari and Pashtu fluent
