Job Summary

  • Lead and coordinate grants management processes across VDO programs and partnerships.
  • Manage the full grant lifecycle including donor mapping, opportunity tracking, proposal coordination, grant negotiations, compliance monitoring, donor communication, reporting tracking, amendments, and closeout processes.
  • Develop grant management systems, trackers, reporting calendars, compliance checklists, and donor communication records.
  • Coordinate closely with program, finance, MEAL, procurement, HR, and operations teams to ensure grant implementation aligns with approved proposals, budgets, donor regulations, and reporting timelines.
  • Review donor agreements, contractual obligations, compliance requirements, and budget conditions and provide guidance to project teams. 
  • Monitor grant performance, expenditure trends, implementation progress, reporting deadlines, and donor deliverables.
  • Support proposal development including narrative writing, budgeting coordination, annex preparation, and donor submissions.
  • Maintain organized grant files, donor correspondence, agreements, reports, and modification records.
  • Support donor audits, spot checks, and grant compliance reviews.
  • Prepare grant summaries, compliance updates, and management reports for leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of grants management experience within NGOs or donor-funded organizations.
  • Strong understanding of donor compliance requirements, proposal development, reporting systems, and grant lifecycle management; excellent analytical, writing, coordination, and communication skills.
  • English excellent, Dari and Pashtu fluent.
