Job Summary
The Grants and Partnerships Specialist (Donor Relations) will support GRP Global Relief Plan in strengthening relationships with institutional donors and expanding strategic partnerships. The position is responsible for identifying funding opportunities, coordinating grant proposal development, and supporting donor communication throughout the grant lifecycle.
The role requires strong coordination with internal departments to ensure proposals, reports, and communications meet donor requirements and organizational standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Donor Engagement and Partnership Development

Establish and maintain professional relationships with institutional donors and strategic partners.

Represent GRP in donor meetings, coordination platforms, and partnership events.

Maintain records of donor engagement activities including meetings, follow-ups, and partnership development plans.

Promote GRP programs and organizational capacity to potential donors and partners.
Funding Opportunity Monitoring

Identify and monitor funding opportunities from international organizations, UN agencies, foundations, and bilateral donors.

Maintain a database of funding opportunities, deadlines, and donor priorities.

Share relevant funding opportunities with program teams and management.
Proposal Development and Coordination

Coordinate the preparation of expressions of interest, concept notes, and full grant proposals.

Work closely with program, finance, and monitoring teams to gather necessary information for proposal development.

Ensure all proposals comply with donor guidelines, templates, and eligibility requirements.

Assist in preparing partnership agreements such as MoUs and collaboration documents.
Grants Management and Compliance

Track donor reporting deadlines and ensure timely submission of required reports.

Maintain organized records of grant agreements, proposals, and donor correspondence.

Support communication between program teams and donors regarding project updates or adjustments.
Knowledge Management

Prepare and update donor communication materials including organizational profiles, capability statements, and presentations.

Document lessons learned from proposal processes and donor engagement activities.
Other Responsibilities

Perform additional tasks assigned by management related to grants, partnerships, and donor relations.

Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in donor relations, grants management, proposal development, partnerships, or fundraising within NGOs, INGOs, or development programs.

Proven experience coordinating donor proposals and managing grant documentation.

Good knowledge of the humanitarian and development funding environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage deadlines effectively.

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Dari and/or Pashto is highly preferred.
