About MMRCA:

Background Information:

The Medical Management and Research Courses for Afghanistan (MMRCA) is a national, non-for profit, non-political, humanitarian organization established in March 2008 by Afghan Health Professionals and is registered as an NGO with the ministry of economy (MoE) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

MMRCA has been implemented SEHAT-II, SEHAT-III and SEHATMANDI (BPHS+EPHS) Projects in Ghazni, Badghis and Faryab provinces. Currently MMRCA awarded the Health Emergency Response Projects Badghis, Samangan and Sar- e-Pul from 1st February 2023 until 29st Feb2024 for Badghis province and until 31th March 2025 for Samangan and Sar-e-Pol provinces. Currently MMRCA contracted HER-2 project extension period for both provinces (Samangan and Sar-e- Pol provinces up to end of Jun-2025.

Through HER Samangan project MMRCA has been providing quality health services to the entire population of the province according to BPHS and EPHS guidelines and MoPH policies/ strategies.  These services are providing through 3 DHs, 4 CHCs, 14 BHCs, 21 Sub-centers, 1MHT and prison health center, Similarly, Sar-e-Pul has a total of 71 HFs including 3-DHs, 9 CHCs, 20 BHCs, 32 PHCs, one MHT, 5 FHHs and one Prison Health Center.

MMRCA invites and encourage eligible candidates to apply for the position of Pediatric Specialist located at Samangan province Dar-e-Souf Payeen District Hospital.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Performed daily visits of patients (OPD, IPD) Patients are treated with dignity and have a right to be treated respectfully.
  • Regularly attends OPD, and IPD to follow all physical diagnostic steps like history taking, examination, investigations, treatment, and Health Education.
  • Attend reports, visits, rounds, technical seminars, and discussions.
  • To contribute and ensure proper diagnosis and treatment of all complex and complicated cases
  • To help junior staff with the provision of quality pediatric care according to the national protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide regular technical seminars and presentations, and discussions for junior staff.
  • To attend all pediatric/neonatal-related consultations on time and on-call duties as per schedule
  • To carry out research and provide support on it to the junior staff.
  • To ensure proper implementation of the HMIS system.
  • Perform all night and day duty based on the approved schedules by line supervisor for IPD & emergency room and Gyn/Obs.
  • To work as head of the department in case of need.
  • To give proper order to nurses regarding patient treatment, infection prevention, and patient care.
  • To provide on-time, accurate and standard treatment to the patients in OPD, IPD & emergency departments and follow rules of RUD of the MoPH policy
  • Investigate death cases and submit technical reasons and defenses for death.
  • Any patient needs to refer to another Hospital before to refer all related investigation must be completed and consulted with the ICU department
  • Never allow performing private practice during official time
  • Arranged academic, coordination, and council meeting and assist the hospital director in the planning. patient care, management of service (OPD, IPD, refer in, Refer out) patients
  • Perform any other related task given by line manager.

Professional Competencies:

  • Graduated from recognized medical university (Pediatric specialist) degree
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience, especially within BPHS HFs or similar organizations after graduation. 
  • Knowledge of English language at reporting level, fluency in Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken.
  • Honest, proactive, and well-mannered

Job Requirements:

Fluent in Dari and Pashtu and working Knowledge of English.

MD with Specialty Degree (Pediatrics).
