WDIO Background:

Watan Development and Initiative Organization is a non-governmental, nonprofit, non-political, and independent organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting communities through sustainable development, social justice, and the enhancement of well-being for individuals and families. WDIO is committed to applying a ‘zero tolerance’ policy towards acts of sexual exploitation and abuse by its personnel. In 2003, the United Nations Secretary-General issued a Bulletin on “Special measures for protection from sexual exploitation and sexual abuse” (ST/SGB/2003/13) (“the Bulletin”). To support the system-wide implementation of the zero-tolerance policy, the Director-General has decided to adopt the standards of conduct and provisions on PSEA set by the Bulletin, adjusted as necessary, to be applied by WDIO personnel, as follows.

Job Summary

The post holder will be responsible for the following duties;

Main Duties& Responsibilities

• Responsible of the district-level Food items
• To ensure that all food commodities are kept in such a condition that commodities would not be damaged while in store. And to ensure the security of Food & Non-Food commodities in the warehouse.
• Weighing and packaging items.
• Managing the baking ingredients inventory.
• Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.
• Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.
• Reporting low baked goods stock.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties on request.
• Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.
• Managing complaints and relaying them to the Baker.
• Responsible for all cake-baking duties.
• Any other duties and tasks assigned by the supervisor. 

• The applicant must have a High School Diploma or 14^th grade from a recognized Institute in a similar field. 
• At least 1 years’ experience in the field.
• Experience working in INGOs/NGOs and Knowledge of specific donor guidelines.
• Field experience of managing inventory/supplies/stock storage or products in the past.
• Excellent writing and speaking of Pashto, Dari.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, & presentation skills are required.
• Vocational training or baking coursework would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in serving customers in a bakery environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in weighing, pricing, and packaging of baked goods.
• Ability to manage ingredient inventories and to track expiry dates.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to create visually appealing displays of baked goods.
• Knowledge of food and health industry regulations.
• Advanced ability to multitask and follow instructions given by bakers.

Must read the PSEA and Anti-harassment policies and either sign them

Ensure that all the staff, partners, and vendors selection process adequately implant PSEA, Anti-harassment Safeguarding Policies commitments.
