In 1992 HealthNet TPO was established by ‘Doctors without Borders’ to bridge the gap between emergency aid and structural development. The organization is now the result of a merger between HealthNet International (HNI) and the Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO). HNI has knowledge and experience in reinforcing healthcare systems and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of transmissible diseases. TPO is an expert in the field of psychosocial and mental health care for survivors of war and natural disasters. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is managed by a team of qualified Afghans and supported by a team of experts at the HQ of the organization in Holland.
HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. HealthNet TPO is currently implementing projects in almost 20 provinces of Afghanistan and the major program it implements are HER (Health Emergency Response) projects in three provinces, Nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial, Malaria Control program, Tuberculus....... through a community system strengthening approach.

Job Description:
Technical/Professional
- To ensure storing, arrangement and organizing of medicine and MS in warehouse.
- To ensure that preventive measures for insects, mice and other bugs have been taken in warehouse.
- To ensure cleanliness of store, packing and shipping area and environment.
- Regular and on time checking of wards and dispensaries monthly report/ balance sheet and provision of feedback to the relevant staff.
- Provide feedback to the hospital technical staff as per need and take part in morning report.
- To ensure proper ventilation of the warehouse.
- To ensure sufficiency of pharmacy materials and on time medicine/MS provision to the hospital pharmacy units.
- To ensure proper hygiene of the hospital pharmacy units.
- To ensure that medicine and MS have been supplied to the hospital pharmacy unit based on the actual demand, monthly kits and consumption base.
- To provide technical support to the hospital pharmacy technicians/pharmacist.
Warehouse Management:
- Ensure optimal temperature of the warehouse including refrigerator (cool items).
- Ensure that all stock safety measures are being implemented (ventilation, moisture, sunlight etc).
- Ensure the product quality (visually inspect commodities and check expiration date).
- Ensure that products are stocked correctly (are the lower cartons crushed), drugs are arranged and stored properly.
- Update stock record s, maintain files, conduct physical inventory and update stock keeping records regularly.
- Conduct physical inventory or cycle count and update stock keeping records at quarterly and bi annual base.
- Use established procedures to dispose of expired or damaged products.
- To ensure regular implementation FEFO/FIFO policy.
- Consider all quality product measure during reception of medicine and MS (Kabul and Local).
General / Administrative:
- Ensure regular attendance and performance of subordinate staff according to their JD.
- Prepare Monthly activities plan included supervision, physical check of stock and other relevant task.
- Prediction and request the items in a proper time before shortage occurred.
- Participate and proceed local purchase of medicine and MS as per need
- Inspect the storage structure for damage, including the walls, floors, roof, windows & doors.
- Visually inspect the fire extinguishers in each quarter to ensure that pressure is maintained and extinguishers are ready for use.
- Coordinate activities, supplies and other pharmacy relevant issue with pharmacy manager.
- Record/update of monthly local purchase and Kabul receipt report.
- Updating/submission of monthly stock position report (database).
- Ensure proper record and documentation of all necessary documents at hospital pharmacy unit as well as at office level.
- Attending all necessary meeting, workshop and training
Training
- Willing for participation in training as requested by HN-TPO.
- Conduct on the job and refresher training to the relevant staff.
- Willingness for further development.
Others:
- Help head of pharmacy on technical and administrative issues whenever needed.
- Good communication and Hard working
- Be respectful and proper attitude.
- Good inter personal relation ship
- Any other pharmacy related task given by management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy Faculty.
- Three years of experience in NGOs or MoPH
- Good Command of English, Fluent in Dari and Pashto both verbally and Written
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
- Good interpersonal communication skills
