Afghan Family Guidance Association (AFGA) is an Afghan non-governmental, not-for-profit and non-political organization established in 1968. AFGA has been working in the field of Reproductive health and Rights since its inception and has recently become an associate member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
AFGA activities were suspended due to war and conflict in the country for ten years (1992-2002) and resumed its activities in 2002 with financial support from International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).

Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist and performing clients Triage in health facility to ensure that all the clients are reaching required and on time services.
- The MHT nurse will be responsible for arrangement of health education sessions to clinic clients including soft and hard services.
- Preparing immunization activities plan both in the facility and outreach.
- Preparing and sharing immunization related reports and data to the MHT head.
- Considering the cold chain system in all the process as per standard procedures.
- Taking part in all technical meetings and awareness raising activities on community level relevant to immunization.
- Performing trauma care activities (dressing, wound care)
- Work as health facility nurse, he/ she will be responsible for relevant activities.
- Assist team members on medicine provision/ dispensing if required.
- Work as back up person to provide OPD services in case of team doctor absence.
Any other responsibility assigned by team leader
Job Requirements:
- Graduated from registered nursing or pharmacy field with valid educational document.
- At least two years’ experience working as health facility nurse.
- Familiar with nursing procedures and working in medicine management is plus point.
- Experience of the same position and familiarity with BPHs system is desired.
