About Help Germany:
“Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe” is a German non-governmental charity-organization duly registered with the courts of law in Germany and in several host countries, including Afghanistan. Help was founded in 1981 by concerned Members of Parliament of all parties represented in the German Parliament. We started providing humanitarian assistance for Afghan refugees in Pakistan and Iran and soon extended to development-oriented activities. We provide aid and development support regardless of race, creed or nationality. Priorities are set based on need and upon the request from partners and vulnerable communities to cooperate fairly and transparently.
Job Description:
The Logistic Officer is responsible for working closely with the procurement manager and does all project related activities in close coordination of the procurement manager. He is responsible for the following activities:
Main Responsibilities
- Working under the direct supervision of the Help Procurement Manager
- Assist the procurement Manager in reviewing of all the evaluation reports received from the evaluation committee members.
- Tracking and scheduling all materials, equipment and purchase orders.
- Purchasing project required items in simple procurement procedure.
- Taking advance from the finance department, clearing the pending invoices and balances with the finance department on monthly basis.
- Updating project asset lists on regular basis.
- Copying and scanning of procurement documents when required.
- Collection of supporting documents for payments to suppliers.
- Develop the filing system and maintain all procurement documents both soft and hard.
- Processing staff salaries and relevant documents at field level on monthly basis.
- Oversee general administrative functions, including project office management and logistics.
- Support HR functions, such as timesheets, leave records, and recruitment logistics.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and donor policies, including documentation and record keeping.
- Any other tasks assigned by procurement manager
Job Requirements:
- B.A in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any other relevant field.
- Strong understanding of procurement concepts.
- Highly skilled in MS Office – Excel in particular.
- Strong oral and written skills in English, Dari and Pashto.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience with national or international NGOs
- Interpersonal, management and conflict resolution skills.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment
