About Help Germany:
“Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe” is a German non-governmental charity-organization duly registered with the courts of law in Germany and in several host countries, including Afghanistan. Help was founded in 1981 by concerned Members of Parliament of all parties represented in the German Parliament. We started providing humanitarian assistance for Afghan refugees in Pakistan and Iran and soon extended to development-oriented activities. We provide aid and development support regardless of race, creed or nationality. Job summary:
The Social Mobilizer/Distributor will support community engagement, conducting project surveys, distribution of inputs, awareness-raising, and resolution of community-level issues. The role ensures transparent, inclusive implementation at the grassroots level.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct baseline surveys in the target communities of the project and implement community mobilization plan.
- Implement activities related to community mobilization.
- Inspires the sense of contribution, participation and self-reliance in the target communities
- Establishes and develops mutual understanding, cooperation and trust between the project and the target communities
- Maintains good working relations with authorities and related stakeholders
- Select beneficiaries according to the project criteria
- Ensure quality of project intervention and provision of the awareness sessions and inputs distribution.
- Assist district officer to improve quality of trainings
- Participate to follow up with employers for On-the-Job training and employment assistance
- Collect community mobilization and training data and assists District Officer and Project Manager in data analysis and interpretation and report development
- Assist Project Officer in project operations data analysis and interpretation
- Submit community mobilization, monitoring, training, and observation information to project Manager
- Assists District Officer in developing project implementation plans
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Animal Science.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in social mobilization, distributions, or community-based programming.
- Experience working in rural/emergency settings with vulnerable communities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic data collection and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned district.
- Must be very good in English, Dari and Pashto
- Must have thorough knowledge of MS. Office and Internet
- Strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills
- Strong organizational/project planning and time management skills
- Good at planning, writing and reporting
- Able to work under pressure and different circumstances
