Job Description:
Job Summary
To supervise and manage the road leveling, cutting, and filling activities under the Cash for Work (CFW) program, ensuring quality construction work, adherence to safety standards, and effective workforce management to achieve the project goals.
The duties and responsibilities of a foreman
- Oversee and supervise daily road leveling, cutting, and filling activities, ensuring all work is completed according to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Provide guidance to workers, ensuring they understand their roles, responsibilities, and safety measures.
- Effectively assign and allocate labor to specific tasks.
- Enforce health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring that workers are using necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety standards.
- Manage daily attendance sheets for all laborers involved in the road leveling and cutting/filling activities.
- Submit the completed attendance sheet to the Project coordinator at regular intervals for review and payroll processing.
- Organize, store, and ensure the accurate maintenance of all project-related documents, including reports, attendance sheet, and list of tools.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the local community and community elders to ensure their active involvement and support in the project activities.
- Prepare daily progress reports detailing work completed, challenges encountered, and any updates related to project activities.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned by the project coordinator.
Job Requirements:
Certifications / Education required
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 years Diploma in civil/road engineering, or related field preferred.
Professional Experience required
- At least 3 years of experience in cash for work project.
