progress for women and girls in Afghanistan. RRSWO acts on the fundamental premise that women and girls have the right to live a life free of discrimination, violence and poverty, and that gender equality is central to achieving development with reach, sizable expertise and significant resources. For too long, women have been forced to stand on the sidelines, whether the issue is political leadership, safety in conflict zones, protection from violence or access to public services. Now women must come to the centre as leaders, advocates and agents of change.

Job Description:

  • Carries out classes and schools’ monitoring and supervision to make sure that classes/schools are functional in line with project objectives, strategy and plan and provide quality basic education to students;
  • Undertakes regular visits to monitor and oversee classes/schools overall performance;
  • Observes classroom teaching-learning process and activities and provides on the job training and assistance to the teachers;
  • Checks school records (student, teacher attendance, inventory, etc.) and provides principals and teachers required and appropriate administrative assistance in timely manner;
  • Develops and helps principals and teachers conduct various tests and exams particularly midterm and final ones for students;
  • Makes sure that provincial education department receives a copy of the final exam result;
  •  Builds principals and teachers’ capacity through conducting various training sessions as per the project training program and on the job assistance during monitoring visits so that they best meet their school management and teaching-learning responsibilities;
  • Undertakes principals and teachers’ training need assessment;
  • Prepares training plan for principals and GPE-ESPIG Project-CBE teachers;
  • Develops and conducts training programs for principals and teachers;
  • Develops training aid materials and Conducts evaluation of training sessions;
  • Assists Senior Master Trainers in developing training manuals.
  • Collects and compiles school and training sessions’ related data;
  • Disseminates relevant information to principals and teachers.
  • Enhance GPE-ESPIG Project-CBE teacher capacity for checking student Psychosocial, attendance, sickness, and competencies periodically,
  • Make sure that students are regularly assessed, students can actually apply their learning in real-life situation, students and their family’s value gained new skills and knowledge in the school.
  •  Other job related duties as assigned by the Field Supervisor;

Job Requirements:

At least university graduate in teaching, Education, Law, any other related filed.

  • At least 3 years working experience in teacher training, preferably with an international organization.
  • Very good training skills, good communication skills in national languages and fair level of written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Dari and Pushto languages, and Good in English.
  •  Enthusiasm to the job, gender sensitivity, willingness to travel as per the project requirements, favoring education and development.
  • Under the supervision of Field Supervisor, the incumbent has full autonomy to fulfill his/her responsibilities in the best possible way.
