Job Description:

  1. Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop detailed project work plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Ensure the smooth implementation of activities according to the project design and donor requirements.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and provide guidance to project staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Facilitate capacity-building activities for team members to enhance project delivery.
  3. Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
    • Represent WASSA in relevant coordination meetings and events.
  4. Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor project progress to ensure timely and effective delivery of outputs.
    • Prepare and submit high-quality project reports, including narrative updates, to donors and WASSA management.
  5. Compliance and Accountability:
    • Ensure adherence to WASSA’s policies and donor guidelines.
    • Promote accountability and transparency in all project-related activities.
  6. Risk Management:
    • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Address challenges and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination/management, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of donor compliance and reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in local languages and English.
