Job Description:

Position Summary:

The incumbent participates in providing health education sessions in the community residence.  Delivers the health messages in an acceptable way and according to the knowledge level of beneficiaries.Participates in nutrition /health assessment.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties:

  • Community Engagement:

Conduct Health education sessions and provide necessary repots.

Provide one-on-one counselling to patients and community members on nutrition-related issues, dietary choices, and lifestyle changes.

Engage with community members through outreach programs to promote health initiatives and increase awareness of available services at the BHC.

Work with community leaders and organizations to facilitate health education programs and ensure community needs are addressed

Collect data on program effectiveness, community health indicators, and participant feedback to inform program improvements.

Facilitate support groups for individuals with specific health and nutrition needs, such as breastfeeding support groups or chronic disease management.

Maintain accurate records of educational sessions, participant attendance, and materials distributed.

Prepare regular reports on health education activities, outcomes, and community health trends for submission to supervisors.

Carry out appropriate interviews with beneficiaries if necessary and collect required data.

Provide health education materials.

Coordinate the activities with Community leaders and shuras.

Prepare accurate reports of their activities.

             Carry out any other identical tasks assigned by the supervisor.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Education:  School Graduated, Knowledge on human nutrition and health education. Desired; medical/paramedical training
  • Experience:  Two or three years of work experience in health and nutrition fields preferably in International organizations.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in a team environment.
  • Proficient in data collection and reporting.

Working Conditions:

  • May involve working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Frequent travel within the community to engage with residents and stakeholders.
