Job Description:
Job Summary
LasPay is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to support the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer in the day-to-day legal and regulatory functions of the company. The intern will assist in drafting, translating, organizing, and filing legal documents, as well as following up with governmental and regulatory authorities. This internship provides a valuable opportunity for recent graduates or senior law students to gain practical experience in legal and compliance affairs within a regulated financial institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and formatting legal documents, contracts, agreements, letters, and official correspondence under the supervision of the Chief Legal Officer.
- Support translation of legal texts and official communications between Dari, Pashto, and English.
- Follow up with government institutions, including Da Afghanistan Bank, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and other relevant entities, on legal registration, licensing, and correspondence.
- Help maintain and organize legal records, files, templates, and compliance documentation in both digital and hard copy formats.
- Monitor and compile relevant laws, regulations, and updates issued by regulatory bodies for internal distribution.
- Provide administrative support in the preparation of board documents, compliance reports, and internal communications.
- Attend meetings with government agencies and stakeholders as required, taking notes and supporting follow-ups.
- Assist in planning and organizing legal and compliance training or awareness sessions for internal staff.
- Other duties as assigned by the line manager or Chief Legal Officer.
