• Design, implement, and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and address issues such as latency, outages, and bandwidth optimization.
• Configure and secure network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Implement and maintain VPNs and other remote access solutions for secure connectivity.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the network for critical airport operations.
• Continuously monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Use network monitoring tools to track uptime, bandwidth utilization, and latency.
• Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS to safeguard against cybersecurity threats.
• Regularly update network security protocols to comply with aviation and data security standards.
• Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues across various departments, including Passenger Service, HR, Finance, Cargo Operation, and more.
• Provide technical support to users and escalate complex issues to external vendors when necessary.
• Ensure seamless integration of the network with airport systems such as CUPPS, DCS, BRS, and security surveillance.
• Collaborate with IT teams to align network configuration with operational requirements.
• Implement backup solutions to safeguard critical network configurations and data.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure rapid restoration of network service during emergencies.
• Collaborate with service providers and hardware vendors for network upgrades, maintenance, and support.
• Communicate with airport authorities and stakeholders regarding network-related projects or issues

• Must have bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field. Master’s degree in the field is preferable.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience network engineering, administration, and support, preferrable with reputable organizations
• Proven experience in a Senior Network Engineer role or in a related network engineer
• Expertise in system support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Proficient computer skills, including the use of network management tools and software.
• In-depth knowledge of network management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong planning and time management abilities.
• Effective presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Good influencing and negotiating skills
• Good computer skills
• Fair knowledge of Company’s activities to know basic training requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to understand the company’s standards and accreditations
• Fluent in English, Dari/Pashto – written and spoken
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, MTCNA CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
