With circa 1,000 employees in Afghanistan, GAAC provides ground handling and aviation security services in different international airports, including Kabul, Heart, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif.

• Provide advanced support for all airport IT systems (CUPPS, BRS, DCS, FIDS, AMS, CCTV, attendance Server, device, Access Control, etc.).
• Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex IT issues that affect passenger processing, baggage handling, flight operations, and airport services.
• Monitor and maintain network and system infrastructure supporting airport terminals, including routers, switches, servers, kiosks, printers, and scanners.
• Ensure high system availability and quick recovery times to meet SLA commitments and avoid operational delays.
• Coordinate and communicate with airline IT teams, ground handling agents, airport operations, and third-party vendors.
• Perform routine system health checks, backups, and preventive maintenance on all airport-related IT systems.
• Document incident reports, resolutions, configurations, and maintenance activities using tools.
• Participate in the rollout and integration of new systems, hardware, and technology at the airport.
• Provide on-ground IT support during flight schedules, including nights, weekends, times.
• Ensure compliance with IT security, safety, and data protection standards.
• Support the training of ground staff, and junior IT team members on system usage and procedures.
• Participate in system audits, user access reviews, and capacity planning.
• Assist in business continuity planning and disaster recovery drills.
• Review and recommend improvements to support procedures, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Lead or support IT projects involving upgrades, migrations, or expansions at the airport.

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field. Having masters in the field is preferable.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in IT support or systems engineering, preferrable with reputable organizations
• Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting complex IT systems.
• Expertise in system support, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Fluent in English, Dari/Pashto – written and spoken
• ITIL, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, or similar certifications preferred.
• Certifications in specific systems (e.g., CUPPS, DCS) a plus.
