Job Description:

 • Provide counselling of pregnant women on dangerous signs of pregnancy, mother nutrition, preparedness for delivery, and pregnancy care services including ante-natal care (ANC, treatment of infection and other basic problems during pregnancy
• To provide institutional delivery services to mothers at the health facility, during her work time.
• To provide skilled birth attendant services to mothers at their home who cannot attend the health facility during her work time.
• Perform Postnatal Care (PNC) and Neonatal Care (NNC) services to postpartum women and their newborns as well as advice to mothers on breastfeeding, mother nutrition, and prevention of infection. 
• Provide mother and child nutrition counselling for lactating mothers including exclusive breast-feeding for children 0-5 months and the addition of supplementary food for children ages 5-24 months.
• Provide counselling of pregnant women on dangerous signs of pregnancy, mother nutrition, preparedness for delivery, and pregnancy care services including ante-natal care (ANC, treatment of infection and other basic problems during pregnancy

• Offer family planning counselling and services to preconception women with a specific focus on modern contraceptive methods Work in collaboration with the mobile team members to achieve CARE and MoHP goals.
• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

She is primarily responsible to conduct antenatal, postnatal and family planning counseling sessions to all eligible clients including physical checkup and prescription of required medicines and lab test if needed. 

Conduct safe and institutional delivery with proper newborn care in the health facility maintaining standard or recommended infection prevention and healthcare waste management care. 

Provide mother and child nutrition counseling for lactating mothers including exclusive breast-feeding for children 0-5 months and the addition of supplementary food for children ages 5-24 months. And offer family planning counselling and services to preconception women with a specific focus on modern contraceptive methods Work in collaboration with the mobile team members to achieve CARE and MoHP goals.

Conduct health education session to all female clients visiting the health facility on different topics according the need and organize capacity building session for female community health workers. 

Maintaining proper reporting and all HMIS registers and formats regarding sexual and reproductive health activities in the health facility.
