Job Description:

The Finance Assistant and Cashier is an important role within the organization, responsible for managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure appropriate finance systems are maintained and implement all necessary procedures and controls.
  • Record all transactions in accounting software and manage account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial accounting reports and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
  • Check financial transactions, prepare vouchers, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage petty cash, process payments, and ensure timely transactions.
  • Monitor project expenditures against budgets and prepare financial reports as needed.
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports to the main office.
  • Provide analysis of financial data to support decision-making and update monthly fund requests.
  • Oversee general office operations, including supplies and logistics.
  • Facilitate meetings and manage official correspondence.
  • Handle tax clearance processes to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Build effective work relationships with clients, subordinates, and peers.
  • Work independently with initiative and flexibility, maintaining honesty and integrity.
  • Performing any other tasks assigned by the Senior Management as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in financial management and cash handling.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Pashto, and Dari.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
