Job Description:

Job Summary

The Motion Graphics Designer creates live video content, graphics, and animation for handheld electronic devices, web programs and TV commercial.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials for infographic, animation and other commercial and documentary projects.
  2. Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type, style and submitting them for approval.
  3. Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software for infographics, animations (2D/3D).
  4. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
  5. Communicating with sales and other relevant teams about layout and design.
  6. Creating sketches subject to requirements of each project.
  7. Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites using software such as Photoshop, Premier, After Effects, Cinema 4D etc.
  8. Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.
  9. Designing and delivering high-quality motion graphics optimized for video, web, and social media dissemination.
  10. Creating highly engaging complex animations for a diverse array of media and clients.
  11. Assisting in the creation of animation idea, concept and storyboards.
  12. Preparing conceptual layouts for motion graphic projects.
  13. Responsible for training and developing others in the use of animation software and other related fields.
  14. Encoding, converting, and editing videos and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
  15. Editing videos of various types (commercial, documentary, etc) and sizes to meet project requirements.
  16. Participating in on-site shoots, providing direction, and managing shooting arrangements according to requirement of projects and supervisor discretion.
  17. Edits videos to targeted length and specifications.
  18. Handles and organizes raw and edited video files.
  19. Exports videos and facilitates mobile and web distribution.
  20. Participate in shoots of videos and produces content as necessary.
  21. Explores different versions and directions.
  22. Ensures compliance with highest industry standards.
  23. Adjusts formats and file sizes as needed.
  24. Edits audio and soundbites for projects.
  25. Edit photographs professionally for different clients and purposes.
  26. Edits photos and illustrations.
  27. Any other tasks which might be assigned by the line manager. 

Job Requirements:

  • Previous work experience as a Motion Graphic Designer.

  • Creative and artistic skills.

  • Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.

  • Portfolio of completed film productions.

  • Minimum 3 year of video editing and post-production experience.
  • Proficient in various non-linear video editing tools and other software (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Adobe Illustration, Light room).
  • Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in arts, journalism or related field.
  • Proficiency in Dari, Pashto and English communication.
