Job Description:
Job Summary
The Technician Radio Optimization is responsible for basic network planning and RF optimization activities
Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform RF network planning and optimization activities.
• Carry out area and site surveys to identify RF equipment location and antenna orientation.
• Analyze equipment co-location requirements for multiple operators.
• Perform site candidate evaluation.
• Perform Site Audit and Physical Parameter Modification.
• Perform Site Integration and acceptance for new sites.
• Verify RF-related site engineering drawings.
• Perform frequency, BCC, NCC, and code planning for 3G and 4G.
• Perform co-channel and adjacent channel interference testing and analysis.
• Undertake basic network performance analysis (KPIs) and basic optimization tasks.
• Perform Drive test and post-processing analysis.
• Undertake customer complaint follow-up and troubleshooting.
• Reporting to Senior staff/Manager for day-to-day activities.
Job Requirements:
Essential Requirement:
High School Graduate with one year of relevant experience.
Preferred Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or other related field with two years of RF Planning and Optimization role for 2G, 3G and 4G.
· Basic Understanding of GSM Technology, Radio Planning, Radio Optimization, and Drive testing.
· Good understanding and grasp of the English language, both spoken and written.
· Good Email writing skills
· Proficient at Microsoft office, Drive Testing Tools, and Map info.
· Working Conditions: Being flexible, working long hours, including weekends, and being ready for travel all over Afghanistan.
