Job Summary:

The Admin & HR Officer at Clock Tower Hotel plays a critical role in managing daily administrative operations and overseeing human resource functions. This position ensures efficient hotel operations, maintains compliance with labor regulations, and fosters a positive work culture by handling recruitment, training, employee relations, and administrative support.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Human Resources Management

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: posting jobs, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate employee records and contracts.
  • Monitor employee attendance, leave balances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Organize staff performance evaluations and provide feedback to management.
  • Handle employee grievances, concerns, and conflict resolution professionally.
  • Ensure legal compliance with Afghan labor laws and HR best practices.

2. Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Assist in preparing monthly payroll and managing salary distribution.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of staff salaries, benefits, and deductions.
  • Support the development and implementation of compensation and incentive programs.

3. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and arrange workshops or internal training sessions.
  • Promote employee development, motivation, and career advancement opportunities.

4. Administrative Support

  • Maintain and organize HR and administrative files, correspondence, and policies.
  • Oversee administrative procurement (stationery, office supplies, etc.).
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and hotel-related correspondence.
  • Assist with documentation for hotel licenses, tax compliance, and renewals.

5. HR & Operational Compliance

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with department heads for smooth departmental coordination.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in HR/Admin roles (preferably in hospitality)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information
  • Knowledge of labor laws in Afghanistan is a strong advantage
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
