Position Title: Driver / Cook / Guard
Project Title: Health, WASH, and Protection Interventions – Herat Province
Duty Station: Herat Province
Contract Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Provincial Admin/Finance Officer
Organization: Afghanistan Educational and Health Development Aids Organization (AEHDA)
1. Background:
AEHDA is implementing integrated Health, WASH, and Protection programs across Herat Province aimed at improving access to basic services for vulnerable communities. The project requires reliable support personnel to ensure transportation, kitchen operations, and compound security run effectively. This position will play a vital role in facilitating smooth field operations.
2. Purpose of the Position:
To provide essential logistical and operational support through safe driving, meal preparation, and site protection to enable smooth implementation of project activities.
3. Key Responsibilities:
A. Driving Duties:
- Safely transport staff and materials to field locations and other destinations as assigned.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle at all times.
- Ensure logbooks are properly filled after every trip.
- Follow traffic rules and AEHDA policies on vehicle usage.
B. Cooking Duties:
- Prepare daily meals for AEHDA field staff as per schedule.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Manage food inventory, utensils, and kitchen supplies.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of food and supplies.
C. Security/Guard Duties:
- Ensure compound gate and premises are secured during working and non-working hours.
- Monitor visitors entering/exiting the compound and maintain a visitor log.
- Patrol the compound regularly, especially at night or during weekends/holidays.
- Report suspicious activities or security incidents immediately to supervisor.
- Ensure emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, lights) are in place and functional.
4. Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of high school education or equivalent.
- Valid national driving license.
- At least 3 years of experience in similar roles with NGOs or private organizations.
- Familiarity with Herat roads and security context.
- Ability to cook local and simple meals for staff.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
5. Required Competencies:
- Punctual and dependable.
- Respectful and cooperative attitude.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Knowledge of basic safety and hygiene standards.
- Good physical condition.
6. Reporting Line:
The Driver/Cook/Guard will report to the Admin/Finance Officer – Herat Field Office.
7. PSEA & Code of Conduct:
The employee must adhere to AEHDA’s policies regarding Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and maintain the highest standards of conduct while representing the organization.
8. Support and Working Conditions:
AEHDA will provide necessary tools and training for the safe and effective delivery of duties (e.g., vehicle maintenance kits, safety guidelines, kitchen utensils). Work schedule may include evenings and weekends.
9. Security Clause:
Given the operational context in Herat, the selected candidate must remain alert and responsive to security updates and comply with AEHDA’s safety protocols.
10. Interdiction Clause:
AEHDA maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward fraud, corruption, sexual misconduct, or abuse of power. Any violation of organizational values or breach of trust will lead to immediate dismissal and possible legal action.

نهاد: اداره کمکهای توسعهای آموزشی و صحی افغانستان (AEHDA)
۱. پسمنظر:
سازمان AEHDA پروژههای بشردوستانه و انکشافی را در ولایت هرات تطبیق مینماید. برای تطبیق بهتر این برنامه، استخدام فردی که بتواند وظایف رانندگی، آشپزی و محافظت را به عهده گیرد ضروری میباشد.
۲. هدف وظیفه:
تامین خدمات ضروری لوژستیکی از جمله رانندگی، آشپزی و تأمین امنیت برای تسهیل تطبیق موفقانه پروژه.
۳. مسؤولیتهای کلیدی:
کارمند در بخش رانندگی، مسئول انتقال ایمن پرسونل و مواد بوده، وسایط را به صورت روزمره بررسی مینماید و آن را تمیز نگه میدارد. ثبت درست لاگبوک و رعایت کامل مقررات ترافیکی و پالیسی سازمان الزامی است.
در بخش آشپزی، تهیه غذای روزانه برای پرسونل، حفظ پاکی آشپزخانه، مدیریت مواد غذایی و وسایل کاری وی میباشد.
در بخش محافظت، حفظ امنیت دروازه و محیط دفتر، ثبت دقیق بازدیدکنندگان، گشتزنی شبانه در صورت نیاز و گزارشدهی از موارد مشکوک از جمله مسؤولیتهای اصلی او خواهد بود.
۴. تحصیلات و تجارب:
داشتن حداقل سند فراغت مکتب و جواز رانندگی معتبر الزامی است. حداقل سه سال تجربه مرتبط، آشنایی با سرکها و وضعیت امنیتی هرات، توانایی تهیه غذای ساده و شناخت ابتدایی تخنیک وسایط نیز ضروری است.
۵. مهارتهای مورد نیاز:
داشتن نظم و وقتشناسی، رفتار همکاریآمیز، توانایی انجام چندین وظیفه همزمان، آشنایی ابتدایی با اصول حفظالصحه و آمادگی فزیکی از جمله خصوصیات مورد نیاز میباشد.
۶. سلسله مراتب گزارشدهی:
کارمند به مسئول اداری و مالی در دفتر ولایتی AEHDA گزارش میدهد.
۷. PSEA و اصول اخلاقی:
کارمند باید متعهد به پالیسیهای سازمان AEHDA در زمینه جلوگیری از استثمار و سوءاستفاده جنسی بوده و به اصول اخلاقی سازمان پایبند باشد.
۸. حمایت و شرایط کاری:
سازمان AEHDA تمام تجهیزات لازم و رهنمودهای ایمنی را فراهم خواهد کرد. ساعت کاری ممکن است شامل شبها و ایام تعطیل نیز گردد.
۹. ماده امنیتی:
با توجه به وضعیت امنیتی ولایت هرات، رعایت کامل تدابیر امنیتی و پیروی از پالیسیهای حفاظتی سازمان ضروری میباشد.
۱۰. ماده بازدارنده:
سازمان AEHDA در برابر فساد، سوءاستفاده، نقض اصول اخلاقی و سوءرفتارهای سازمانی سیاست "تحمل صفر" دارد و در صورت بروز، برخورد قاطع خواهد نمود
