The ICRC Afghanistan Background:

The ICRC is a neutral, impartial and independent organization. Its exclusive humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC endeavours to alleviate suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.

Main Responsibilities:

• Under supervision, helps provide the full range of societal integration services to the patient/user in the relevant field.
• Contributes to relevant programme proposals in the following fields: financial support, schooling, vocational training, sports, micro-initiatives, etc.
• Helps assess patient/user access to services within the interdisciplinary approach, using appropriate communication and reporting tools.
• Participates in workshops/training related to access to services for vulnerable groups, inclusion for people with disabilities, integration into the community for victims of violence, and other relevant subjects.
• Monitors/follows up the service users’ participation in the suggested programmes.
• Assess the social and economic situation of the candidate beneficiaries and fill in the necessary documents.
• Test the professional level of candidate trainers and assess the adequacy of their professional premises.
• Assess the attendance to the training of the trainees and trainers.
• According to the established standards, perform tests of the professional knowledge acquired by the trainees, possible together with a Master.
• Prepare the monthly presence sheets of the trainees and trainers for payment of wages.
• Prepare the necessary material for the periodical professional tests according to the established standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Participation in workshops on societal integration or disability an asset.
• Fluent written and spoken command of the national language(s) plus English.
• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Mature and professional demeanour.
• Organizational and people skills.
