Job Description:
Description of Responsibilities:

Regular Responsibilities:
- Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment, monitors condition and performance of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems, firefighting systems, elevators, diesel boilers, diesel generators, solar systems, and pneumatic systems, and devices.
- Proficient in the following trades: plumbing, steam maintenance, metal fabrication, control/alarm systems, HVAC systems, or refrigeration
- Knowledge of national and state codes, rules, regulations, laws, and procedures applicable to the trade
- and familiar with computer skills, including a computerized Equipment Management System.
- Prepare a parts list and be able to read electrical circuits and mechanical drawings to identify the required parts.
- Experience in vacuum plants, medical air, oxygen generators, autoclaves, and boilers should be counted as an asset to the candidate’s experience.
- Continued focus on improved quality of service and ensuring effective operation and maintenance of all facilities.
- Conduct end-user training for the proper use of facilities related to MEP.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and to make recommendations to maintenance staff.
- Oversee heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
- Monitor and manage water supply, drainage, and waste disposal systems.
- Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, and sterilizers.
- Ensure all systems comply with health and safety regulations.
- Install new mechanical systems and upgrade existing ones.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors for large-scale projects.
- Optimize energy usage and implement sustainable practices.
- Monitor energy consumption and suggest improvements.
- Respond to system failures or emergencies promptly. Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
- Report issues and suggest improvements to hospital administration.
- Work closely with biomedical engineers, facility managers, and clinical staff.
- Train maintenance staff on mechanical systems and safety protocols.
Periodic Responsibilities
- Provide quarterly reports to Administrator FMD on Goals & Objectives and Quality Indicators, training, and operational parameters of utilities, including power consumption, fuel consumption, corrective & preventive maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and Inspection of equipment in the hospital.
- With good troubleshooting skills on electro/mechanical equipment and the ability to help and train his staff
- Implementation of the quality management system, Safecare JCIA, and ISO 9000
Job Requirements:
- Technical and theoretical knowledge of mechanical
- electro-mechanical communication skills.
