AWRO is seeking a Full-time Medical Master Trainer to further strengthen the capacity of the staff members at AWRO Regional Office of Badakhshan, supporting provincial offices in the capacity building in health and nutrition service delivery sector, as well as a robust monitoring system to ensure compliance. The Medical Master Trainer is responsible for providing training to the medical doctors, midwives, and community health workers in health and nutrition service delivery with focus on Pregnant and Lactating Women and Children under age of 5 years old.  

 

TOR:

The Master Trainers will perform the following tasks, including but not limited to:

Training Delivery

  • Conduct interactive, high-quality training sessions for MHNT and CHW staff on:
    • Integrated Management of Newborn and Childhood Illnesses (IMNCI)
    • Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM)
    • Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF)
    • Psychosocial Support (PSS)
    • Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)
    • Immunization practices
    • Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)
    • Emergency healthcare service delivery
  • Use participatory methods such as practical demonstrations, role-playing, and case studies to enhance learning and retention.

Training Material Development

  • Develop or adapt training tools and materials in line with national health guidelines and global best practices.
  • Ensure that training content is culturally sensitive, gender-inclusive, and easy to understand.
  • Regularly review, revise, and update training content based on feedback and evolving needs.

Support & Supervision

  • Build the capacity of MHNTs and CHWs to effectively recognize and respond to health and nutrition emergencies.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of training programs.
  • Conduct post-training follow-up and evaluate training effectiveness through practical assessments and feedback mechanisms.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical, Nutrition, or related field
  • Good data collection and analysis skills
  • Good training and teaching skills
  • Familiarity with Badakhshan province is preferred
