Job Description:

  1. Objective of the Position

The Integration Officer will lead efforts to support the social and economic reintegration of graduated vocational program clients by:

  • Facilitating job placements with local businesses and employers.
  • Linking clients with business opportunities or companies seeking skilled workers.
  • Assisting clients in starting small businesses through market needs and connections.
  • Building networks with local markets, employers, and vocational training stakeholders to enhance employment opportunities.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive market integration strategy for graduated clients across Kabul, Nangarhar, Herat, Kandahar, and Farah provinces.
  • Coordinate with Integration Assistants in each province to monitor progress, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Conduct market assessments to identify employment and business opportunities in sectors relevant to clients’ vocational skills (e.g., tailoring, mechanics).
  • Build and maintain partnerships with private sector companies, NGOs, and government agencies to create job placement opportunities.
  • Support graduated clients in accessing microfinance,
  • Organize exhibition, networking events, and workshops to connect clients with potential employers.
  • Maintain a centralized database of graduated clients, tracking their employment status, business progress, and integration outcomes.
  • Prepare monthly reports on integration activities, challenges, and success stories for YHDO management.
  • Ensure gender-sensitive approaches to support female graduates in accessing opportunities.
  • Travel to project provinces when required to monitor activities and support assistants.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social sciences, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in market linkage, job placement, or business development, preferably in Kabul.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor markets and business ecosystems.
  • Proven experience in networking with private sector, NGOs, and government entities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills in Dari/Pashto and English.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office, email, etc.) for reporting and documentation.
  • Resident of Kabul province.
