About Razi Social Development Organization (RSDO):

  • Introduction to RSDO

Razi Social Development Organization- RSDO is an Afghan national NGO founded in April 11, 2008 and registered with Ministry of Economy in Afghanistan. It was established in Herat city but then sat up sub-offices in Ghor, Badghis and Farah provinces by delivering the social development services to vulnerable and marginalized people in the remote communities.

  • RSDO’s Background

RSDO firstly initiated the primary activities in 2002 under the name of “Abu Hanifeh Orphan High School”, assisting orphan children who lost their parents and families during the long-lasting war in Afghanistan to learn and build their future. Later on, with the financial support of  Japan Embassy it has constructed a high school building for the orphan and expanded the activities of orphan with the support of HELP Germany as well. Throughout years of hard working, RSDO slowly developed and now has functioning offices in all west region provinces of Afghanistan with more than 150 staff operating to four provinces of west region.

RSDO’s mandate is delivering the humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable households in the west region provinces of Afghanistan through the financial support of UN and International Organizations/donors.

RSDO dedicated all efforts to contribute in none-violent, developed and prosperous Afghanistan where both men and women live and respect each other through running services in the sector of, education, livelihood, protection (child protection + women empowerment, emergency, WASH and health.

Job Description:

1: GENERAL Responsibilities:

Providing Community-based psychosocial counseling services is to the patients /clients including family counseling and individual method according to professional standards by diagnosis of psychosocial problem and proper counseling only.

2: Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Offer individual psychosocial counselling to the patients/clients in targeted communities/districts. .
  • Proactive awareness-raising and psycho-education for the patients/clients of the targeted districts.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance to the ethical criteria of the psychosocial counselling.
  • Record all the information on the clients in the registration sheet and compile client files on a daily basis.
  • Daily registration of the cases in the Documentation book according to the guidelines.
  • Daily writing-up of the cases using the Documentation-sheets.
  • Documentation of the clients and their work (Client registration and psychosocial counseling sessions).
  • Preparing monthly quarterly and annual based reports to the related unit.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Conducting Awareness programs for communities.

Job Requirements:

Qualification

  • At least three-years experiences in a psychologic position or relevant field at national or international organizations. 
  • Experience in vocational training and child protection is compulsory 
  • Skills and experience in planning, psychological counselling and reporting.
  • Experience in working in complex emergencies or challenging security settings and within security management frameworks.
  • Ability to produce timely reports
