About HSDO:

Health Care and Social Development ORG-HSDO is an Afghan a Non-Political, Non-Governmental and Non-Profit organization, established to extend developmental and humanitarian assistance to the urban and rural communities of Afghanistan through implementing various projects in several provinces of Afghanistan. It has been registered in 2008 with the Ministry of Economy (MOEc) of the Government Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIROA) with Reg # 1239. It is also registered with Ministry of Public Health (Reg. # 1096) and in listed member with Agency Coordination Body for Relief and Development (ACBAR). Health Care and Social Development Organization working since its establishment in 5th thematic areas such Community Development, Women Empowerment, Health, Education, Peace Building and Conflict Resolutions.

Job Description:

  • Share important security information quickly with the related supervisors.
  • Always keep the workplace safe and secure for all employees.
  • Watch and manage the movement of visitors to make sure only authorized people enter.
  • Make sure the working environment is safe and comfortable for all staff.
  • Use CCTV cameras to spot and record any suspicious or harmful activities on the premises.
  • Share important security information quickly with the related supervisors.
  • Train staff and security guards regularly on security rules and how to handle emergencies.
  • Provide safety and security training to all staff to keep them aware and prepared.
  • Update staff about the current security situation and give them advice on staying safe.
  • Check and approve weekly travel and movement plans for all teams.
  • Keep track of team movements to ensure their safety and proper coordination.
  • Join security meetings with INSO and other NGOs to share information and improve security.
  • Assess security risks in different areas like provinces, roads, and buildings, and take steps to reduce those risks.
  • Act quickly and calmly in case of any emergency or security problem.
  • Stay in contact with local security forces, NGOs, and other organizations for better coordination.
  • Regularly check all security tools like radios, phones, metal detectors, mirrors, safe rooms, fire extinguishers, locks, and alarms to make sure they work well.
  • Monitor and control access to offices, warehouses, homes, and project sites to keep them secure.
  • Make sure all gates and doors are locked and always watched.
  • Manage and schedule security guards and watchmen to keep all facilities safe and secure.

Job Requirements:

Education: 

12th Grade,  a bachelor’s degree in a similar field will be an advantage.

Experience:

At least 03 years of work experience as a security professional with NGOs, government, and UN agencies are preferred.

- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of staff, property, and data.

 

Key Skills and Competencies

·        Excellent interpersonal and representational skills.

·        Thorough knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures

·        Strong understanding of the local security landscape, threats, and mitigation strategies in Afghanistan

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, partners, and local authorities

·        Experience providing security briefings and training to the staff 

·        Computer skills: MS Office, MS Outlook, Teams

·        Fluency in spoken and written English and a strong knowledge of the local language is essential.
