Job Description:
We are looking for a expert and dynamic Mining and Geotechnical Specialist to join our network leading our Mining Consulting and geotechnical sector. This position involves managing field assessments, Mining exploration and testing, preparing reports, leading mining consulting teams, and ensuring compliance with national and international standards, including ISO, ESG, and MoMP regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Mining & Geotechnical Division, ensuring high performance in project delivery and team leadership.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the division’s services.
- Oversee full project lifecycles, from proposal development and technical content to field execution, reporting, and client handover.
- Review and approve technical outputs, including site investigations, mine planning, geotechnical reports, and design recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with national regulations, international standards (e.g., ISO, ESG, IFC), and safety protocols.
- Supervise and mentor team members, improving technical excellence, innovation, and professional growth, resource allocation, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Serve as the lead client liaison and managing key relationships with government stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with different category of teams on multidisciplinary projects.
- Support business development, lead tendering efforts, and contribute to contract negotiations and strategic partnerships.
- Represent the company in technical meetings, industry events, and stakeholder consultations.
- Report to executive leadership, providing updates and project status, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure data integrity, field safety, and ethical standards.
- Maintain and manage stakeholder and client relationships.
- Report regularly to the CEO and Vice President on project progress.
Job Requirements:
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
📌 Education & Experience
- Master (PhD preferred) in Geology, Mining Engineering or related fields
- Proven experience with international environmental standards and national licensing processes (e.g., NEPA, MoMP).
📌 Technical & Core Competencies
- Dynamic mixed background with different private sectors and NGOs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in industry-specific software, GIS, modelling, or digital tools (where applicable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet (familiarity with other applications is an advantage).
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently.
- Ability to travel to project sites and provinces when required.
📌 Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English language is a must
- Proficiency in national languages (Dari/Pashto/Uzbeki)
- Knowledge of Chines or German language is a plus

- Willingness to undertake field visits and remote assignments as needed.
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and international project settings.
