About Afghan Post State Own Corporation:

Postal services in Afghanistan have a history of more than a century. These services were first laid in 1870 for the first time during the reign of Amir Shir Ali Khan, which witnessed significant ups and downs due to changes in the political, social and cultural spheres. In 1928, Afghanistan became a member of the World Postal Union and in 1968, a member of the Asia-Pacific Postal Union, in order to expand its postal relations and strengthen ties with the rest of the world.

Job Description:

Job Objective:
To oversee and control the call center system, databases, and information systems of Afghan Post State-owned Corporation, develop and enhance information systems and databases required for the organization, and digitize the organization's operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate in setting up, maintaining, enhancing and continuously monitoring the organization's call center system.
  2. Develop necessary systems and databases based on digitalization plans of the Development Directorate and internal systems.
  3. Create and develop reusable software libraries and components.
  4. Design, develop, integrate and implement required information systems and databases.
  5. Select appropriate and advanced technologies for system development, considering needs and limitations.
  6. Offer technical collaboration and advice to relevant department staff for implementing essential tasks and transferring technical knowledge to employees.

Managerial Duties:

  1. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans in line with the general plan of the relevant directorate.
  2. Submit monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports to the relevant directorate.
  3. Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor in accordance with laws, regulations, and job objectives.

 

Technical Skills:

  1. Proficiency in one of the official languages of the country and full command (written and spoken) of English.
  2. Expertise in one of the popular backend programming languages and web frameworks (preferred: Laravel, Asp.Net Core) and one of the JavaScript front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.) is mandatory.
  3. Proficiency in one of the open-source databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.

Job Requirements:

  1. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Telecommunications from national or international institutions inside or outside the country.
  2. At least 3 years of relevant work experience and the submission of Full-Stack software projects to demonstrate work experience.
  3. Familiarity with Asterisk Communications Toolkit and VoIP networks.

Experience and skills in telecommunications and VoIP are preferred
