The Project Manager will serve as the lead representative of the consultancy firm on the construction site. He/she will be responsible for managing the supervision team, monitoring contractor activities, and ensuring the project is executed in line with design documents, specifications, timelines, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the site supervision of building construction projects on behalf of the consultancy firm.

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of contractors to ensure adherence to design, technical specifications, and quality standards.

• Coordinate with client representatives, local authorities, contractors, and the internal consultancy team.

• Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, work schedules, and quality control plans.

• Prepare and submit regular progress reports, site observations, and technical recommendations to the head office/client.

• Identify delays, risks, or issues and recommend corrective actions in coordination with stakeholders.

• Ensure that Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards are followed at the site.

• Attend progress meetings and act as the focal point for all on-site project-related communication.

• Education: Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in building construction supervision, with at least 3 years in a project management or senior supervisory role within a consultancy firm.

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Dari or Pashto is an asset.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards (including local and international codes).

  • Familiarity with construction contracts, particularly FIDIC-based contracts.

  • Skilled in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure in a field environment.
